F-1 and Florida Strain Largemouth Bass

fish

Largemouth Bass are one of the most sought-after game fish species in the state of Texas. From their aggression on rod and reel to mouth-watering meat production, they will make an exciting addition to any pond.

Largemouth Bass are apex predators, which means they require more intensive management than other game fish species. Annual culling, regular bait stocking, and satisfactory water parameters are essential in growing and maintaining Largemouth Bass.

The two bass options we offer are sure to enhance your pond or lake. F-1 Largemouth Bass provide the best of both worlds–the size from the Florida strain influence and the temperature tolerance from the Northern strain influence. Not only do F-1 Bass grow well past the 5 pound mark, but they are ultra-aggressive on rod and reel. Pure Florida Bass are a great option as well, and will easily exceed 10 pounds when managed properly.

Another bass option we offer is Hybrid Striped Bass, which are a more easily-managed gamefish that do well in ponds of all sizes. Hybrid Stripers have excellent meat production and are able to consume pellets their entire lifespan, making them a great option for ponds that are not intensely managed.
